Worldwide Learning and Worldwide Networking at this Truly Global Event!
The Global Messaging Congress returned to London in 2009, where 150 attendees benefited from the unique opportunity to network with colleagues from across the mobile entertainment industry, hear from the messaging experts and interact in focussed panel discussions and debates.
Speakers at the 2009 Global Messaging Congress confirmed that messaging traffic continues to grow and identified key opportunities for increasing messaging revenues. John Delaney’s opening presentation demonstrated this growth with IDC’s figures showing that SMS still accounts for the vast majority of messaging revenues. As SMS growth approaches its peak however, attention needs to be focussed on what will come next.
Looking forward to the 2010 event, key themes look set to be:
- What is the encore to SMS? How to stop internet taking over?
- The importance of customer segmentation and the need to innovate to meet customers needs.
- Messaging for revenue generation in growth markets
- Adding presence for the optimum user experience
- The impact of new networks (eg LTE) on creating new messaging environments
- The role of charities as a great business opportunity for the mobile market
Quotes from the 2009 event:
''The return to London proved to be a good move. It made access easier and coupled to the conference programme, which offered a thoughtful and compelling mix, undoubtedly contributed to the excellent attendance by many high quality delegates. There was a real buzz in the sessions and on the stands right to the end.''
“Global Messaging is the only event in Europe that is 100% dedicated to mobile messaging. We appreciated the quality of the conferences and the high profile audience.” – (Daniel Mavrakis, MCTEL)
“We found Global Messaging 2009 a very useful event . It gave us an opportunity not only to promote Anam but also to participate in industry debate and share collective learnings with fellow messaging experts..”
