The ONLY Messaging Event in Europe: Providing the Next Generation of Messaging and VAS

Why come to Global Messaging and VAS 2012?

Although often highlighted as one of the traditional revenue streams of operators which is being eroded by OTT services, SMS and other messaging platforms account for a truly phenomenal global revenue figure, over and beyond the combined music and film industries.

Messaging is truly significant still and smart devices are driving A2P and M2M messaging revenues.

Preventing spam and ‘through the back-door’ messaging is key to retaining the value and revenue generating capacity of messaging for operators. This will be the key theme of the event – how to ensure the value and revenue of messaging, preventing costs to the operator of third-party illicit messaging traffic and monetising innovative new messaging services.

In 2012, we further enhance our free to operator programme and announce sponsored operator networking lunches and a pre-event VIP networking drinks, where keynotes and operators are invited for free and other delegates come at a nominal fee.

The event will be focused on global operator case studies, including from important growth markets such as India and Africa (MTN etc). There will also be networking facilitated to meeting brands and retail companies interested in using messaging services, but the main onus of the event will be on operators’ messaging services.

The event will also host and enhanced Global Messaging Industry Awards in association with 160 characters.

What issues were addressed in 2011?

Case Studies include Diana Stepner, from Penguin Group, Pearson, Antti Ohrling from Blyk Media, Shaun Gregory, MD, Media and Advertising from o2 – a diverse mix of presenters,  panellists, and interviewees will ensure you hear from all those involved in  realising new messaging and VAS business models and monetisation. With free passes for operators and content owners this legacy event is the best forum to explore essential developments in all aspects of the messaging and content VAS market – the onus will be on your questions, your involvement in roundtables, networking and taking things forward!
