Daniel Mavrakis
President and CEO, MCTEL

Daniel Mavrakis (M.Sc, Ph.D, MD) is the President and CEO of Monaco Telematique MCTEL since 1992.  He contributed as a part-time international expert in several commissions of major international standardisation groups, namely ITU: International Telecommunication Union); ETSI (European Telecommunication Standards Institute) and participated to the definition of several international telecommunication standards.  Daniel Mavrakis also participated to IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) standardisation and was the author of RFCs in the standard track (e.g. RFC 2122).  He is the author of numerous papers on computer science in computer reviews and of several whitepapers concerning mobile networks (Device Management and OTA, SMS Value Added Services, and so on) and is contributing to the GSM Association SMS Hubbing group taskforce. 

He is a member of:

• New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS).
• Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
