8th Annual Mobile Messaging Awards 2010

These are the categories for the Mobile Messaging Awards 2010. Mobile messaging can include entries from Text or video based, email or IM based organisations unless otherwise stated.

1 Messaging Infrastructure or Platform
Awarded to the product that has enhanced the existing messaging network by providing greater capacity, security, reliability, or adds an additional application.

2 Messaging Application or Service: Public Sector Award
Awarded to the government department or organisation that has used mobile messaging to the best effect by providing an effective information or feedback service, alerts or awareness campaign for a government project. This could for example include activities in Healthcare, education or transport.

3 Messaging Application: Business
Judges will be looking for innovative and practical ways that enterprises have made the best use of mobile messaging in their business using this application.

4 Messaging Application: Consumer Award
Awarded to the company with the product or  service that has best stimulated consumers to use mobile messaging.

5 Innovation in Messaging
For this category the judges are looking for what is new and in their opinion looks as though it has potential to make a difference to users of mobile messaging. It must have been launched in calendar year 2009.

6 Best new Marketing Campaign Using Messaging
This category invites entries for the best  use of mobile messaging in a marketing campaign.

7 Mobile Financial Services Solution
The entry chosen for this category will make the best use of mobile messaging for M-commerce, m-banking, mobile money and where it is involved for direct financial transactions.

8 Messaging Application or Service: Social Use
Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) around the world are starting to get to grips with how mobile messaging can be used. The winner of this category will be awarded to the best use of mobile messaging for a social action project.

A special entry fee applies to entries from NGOs.

Notes
Entries received after 28th May 2010 will not be considered.
Full payment MUST be received by this date to be considered by the judges in the awards.
